I have been volunteering as a buddy and mentor since I was five years old.  I have had so much fun working at programs like Boost and Spark in NYC, where I was able help kids who really needed a friend.  I realized that other states and countries are unable to provide programs like this for kids and teens with ASD. I became determined to expand these opportunities to as many kids as possible!  We were thrilled to offer Zoom calls and FaceTime calls during the COVID 19 quarantine!

It's so rewarding to be a friend to someone in need!

I love storms, beach vacations, satisfying videos, tiny puppies and Among Us App. 

This pandemic has separated so many people from their friends when they need each other the most. This is particularly hard on teens with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). I knew I needed to be involved from the moment Avery started talking about things we could do to help. Together we created and launched 'Friends Without Borders'. I believe that everyone should feel included, everyone should have someone to talk to, regardless of your background. This site has given those with ASD a safe place to be themselves and to develop new life long friendships. I'm excited to expand the program and reach others who are in need of a buddy. 

 

I love playing ice hockey, guitar, surfing, fishing, and hanging out with my dog, Oliver! My favorite sports team is the New York Rangers.
